Ten emergencies covered

  • Accident, brakes failed, and fire or smoke (the three critical ones).
  • Overheating, dead battery, flat tire, and out of fuel or wrong fuel.
  • Locked out, scary noise while driving, and hybrid or EV emergencies (high-voltage battery).
  • Emergency numbers for six regions: United States, United Kingdom, EU, Australia, India and Thailand. You pick your region in settings.
  • Typical repair cost ranges are shown for the United States only, and are labelled as such.

How it works

  1. Open SOS. Open the SOS section in the app.
  2. Choose what is happening. Pick the situation: for example "Overheating" or "Flat tire".
  3. Follow the steps. Each guide opens with the most important warning, then short numbered steps, then what to do if it gets worse.

How these guides were made

  • Every number and every step was checked against a named source. Any line we could not source was removed rather than softened.
  • Guides are general. Follow the instructions of emergency services and your vehicle’s manual first.
  • If anyone is hurt or in danger, call your local emergency number before anything else.
Safety first. In a real emergency, get everyone to safety and call your local emergency number first. Read the guide afterwards if you can.

Questions

Do I need a membership or a scanner?

No. The SOS guides and emergency numbers stay open without a membership and do not need a scanner.

Which countries are covered?

Emergency numbers are included for the United States, United Kingdom, EU, Australia, India and Thailand. You choose the region in settings.

Does it cover hybrids and EVs?

Yes. There is a separate guide for high-voltage battery emergencies such as a crash, smoke or water.

Does it replace roadside assistance?

No. It tells you what to do right now and who to call. Roadside assistance still fixes the car.
